There was a fire in front of my house. Everyone in my blocked seemed worried and immediately they called the fire department. All the neighbors pitched in with money. The victims of the fire were very grateful of the community for giving a helping hand.
Why is that we don’t know what we have until we lost it forever?

As a majority, we don't appreciate what is in front of our eyes because there are so many other material objects covering our view. In this country, we are so spoiled with television, sports teams, and steak dinners that we have lost our love for the little things in our lives. Now, speak for myself right? Well, I'm not by any means am saying that everyone has lost their appreciation for things in their life or that everyone in this country is spoiled with steak. But enshrouding ourselves in and living blinded in the market world we will in, alongside our McDonald's and our Walmarts, is not good for us as a whole. We have in essence, been desensitized to value.
