In Whitmer's photo from earlier we are taught to investigate all the details and to organize our thoughts about why we perceive things certain ways.
That said, what information can be gleaned from this photograph?
Discussions from Summer Bridge Students
The woman in the picture is very very very very old. She has a stick to support her. Not a cane a stick. She looks as if she is 100. she has on a fishermans hat as if she fishes with sandals and a long sleeved shirt with a skirt. She dresses as if she dont know what the wheather may bring
ReplyDeleteFrom appearances, this elderly woman appears to be somewhat feeble. Her posture is an indicator of this as she is hunched over, with her arm pushing and supporting her back. She uses a walking stick to most likely help her keep her balance as she cannot do so herself. Supporting the fact that she is an elderly woman besides her posture is her clothing choice and her slightly visible, aged face. Society would tell us that the skirt and sweater she wears resembles the choice style of an "old person". The outfit has a simple, plain look without any flash which would speak of an old fashioned type.
