fave lecture MIKE G

Honestly so far I haven’t liked any of the lectures. The lecture on mice was boring to me. I tried to pay attention but I’m not a science guy. I really think I was being close minded, because science is not my forte’. I was at orientation for the second one, which would probably be my favorite. I wasn’t there but from my peers perspective it would have really interested me. I would really like to see a presentation done on music and the history of some famous artists that we listen to today. Also it should incorporate into the other fields of art. It should relate music to other fields of art. Todd gave me some great advice about art and paintings and he incorporated it into music, so if the lecturer can incorporate the music into other arts then it will be way more interesting. I told Todd that I could unveil artwork in my mind but not on paper as well, and Todd’s response was well think of art as music, and at first I thought what the hell is he talking bout? But he explained if I could see certain things in art like music then I would understand better. If the painting is dark then I can see a dark music style or if its loud with splotches everywhere I can see hits that the whole band makes within a chart. We need a lecture that tie into all the majors here at Columbia and it will surely be more interesting
