Response to Chris's question.

I view lectures as an important part of learning. Though they can be ruff at times, I feel they are necessary in teaching large groups of people, and can be a very fast way in covering a large amount of information quickly. However, I do not believe the lectures we have attended helped us in anyway except the realization that this is something we’ll have to deal with in college. Not to mention, something we’ll have to learn to use to our advantage.

As I said, I have not gained new listening skills, and only few new note taking skills while attending bridge. I felt most of the lectures were very educational and I never once fell asleep, or gotten even close to falling asleep during a lecture. Ah, and I just remembered. One note taking skill in which I thought to be useful that I did learn was making a summary of your notes. Thanks Todd.

The lectures in fact did challenge my thoughts quite a few times. The photography lectures had me questioning man before written and spoke language (which was not at all covered in the lectures, unfortunately). The genocide lectures got me thinking of ways to end genocide. If we can learn to reach out to more people with kindness and compassion, and show the world that people are people no matter where they come from, this could possibly one day me a probable goal.
