The lectures have been an opportunity to discipline myself on note
taking,improve my comprehension, and pick out certain facts in
detail to refer back to. There of course have been speakers that
have captivated my attention more than others. For example the
photography speaker’s tone and demeanor didn’t help his content,
I found myself struggling to stay focused on the main point.
Where as the speaker about African culture was more enthusiastic,
I was paying attention the entire time, and found myself knowing
some factors of the lecture. Proving that certain people might
more intrigued than others due to their interests and others
can be captivated through their overall presentation.
