Think Big

I think that each lecture I have been able to attend have all had some interesting points within them. The lecture that intrigued me the most was the lecture on Genocide. Not because of the grotesque pictures or disturbing information, but that story of Naomi Natale and her pursuits. She has thought of ideas that I could not of even fathomed of being possible and she is showing how activism and a community of artists can come together and make a statement bigger than they’ve could have ever perceived. After the lecture it made me feel as if I have been thinking too small, and that I should try to think bigger than myself. It made me even think of how one of Chicago’s indigenous music genres has now been pushed underground. I want to help bring it back, and show people what Chicago has blessed the world with over twenty years ago.
